West Ridge Open Houses

The Holiday Open Houses for Elders and their families will be on Thursday, December 15th.

The Garden will celebrate from 2-4p.m., with entertainment from 2:30-4:30p.m.

Blossom Lane and the Foyer level will celebrate from 5-7p.m., with entertainment from 5:30-6:30p.m.

Chip Eating Contest

Congratulations to Katie Ross, our MDS Coordinator, on her victory over Sarah Case, Social Worker, in our first (annual?) chip eating contest. After months of hype, the winner was finally crowned and Katie now has bragging rights! One of the funniest moments came when Stan went out and got a small garbage can and set it between the contestants. Everyone got to enjoy some Carlos O'Kelly's chips and salsa as they watched and listened to the contest soundtrack with songs such as Eye of the Tiger, Chariots of Fire, Yummy Yummy Yummy, and Eat It.

Farmer's Market

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Took some of the Elders to the Kernels game today. It was a little toasty, but we were in the shade and got some breeze from the ceiling fans. It was fun taking pictures of the elders with Shucks. We left right after the 7th inning stretch and it was tied 3-3. We hope the Kernels pulled through for a victory!
